A few days ago, when I was ready to make my new Reels on Instagram, I couldn't get the Reels text timing to work properly. So I tried to google for a solution, and then I noticed that a lot of users are complaining that they were experiencing various text glitches and also looking for a solution.

- "The glitch I'm getting is that it is duplicating my text bubble, like there is another one underneath."

- "Why does my text look fine when I preview, then once I publish my reel the text is squished, missing the background colors, and the completely wrong colors."

When editing on Instagram Reels, you may suffer from the problem that it doesn't allow you to trim the text duration, the only options are Edit Clips or Next, and then the text always appear for the entire duration of your reel.

Step 1

As the way only works for the reels from the drafts, you need to delete the text that you can't adjust duration in your reel here, then download the reel without audio.

Step 2

Now click the Cancel and get back to the screen start making your reel, to add audio back to the reel, you need to find the audio clip first.

Step 3

Once the audio clip get ready, you can swipe up to get the saved reel draft, here remember to check whether the audio matches the video.

Step 4

When everything is OK, click the Add icon on the top right corner to upload your clip with audio, and then click the Preview icon available at the bottom right corner to access the editing screen add start adding your text.

Step 5

Add your text as usual, then click the text box in the bottom of the screen, and now you can start timing the text freely.
